G1 AI Guide Player — It Starts Talking When They Reach the Right Object

A visitor holds one device, walks, and hears the right track at the right place without pressing anything. The screen shows where they are and what is next; the microphone answers a question when they ask one — inside the script your curators approved. It sits in a rental cabinet bay, charges there, and reports which stops were actually listened to.

Why this shape works

A screen changes what a visitor will tolerate from an audio guide

The classic grey box with three buttons fails on the same three complaints: no idea where I am, no way to find the thing I came for, and no way to ask a question. A screen fixes all three, and it is also the reason a site can charge more for the same audio.

Orient and route. A floor plan with “you are here” and the next three stops keeps a family moving instead of standing in the wrong gallery. On a multi-site route or a large palace, this is the feature that gets mentioned in reviews.

Answer, don't lecture. The AI layer is scoped to the text you approve: dates, names, the story behind the object, “what should I not miss with forty minutes”. Out of scope, it says so and points at a staff member. That constraint is the whole reason a curator will sign it off.

Recognise, if you want. The camera can identify an exhibit from a poster or an object photo and start the track — useful in a room where beacons cannot be placed. It is an option, not a default: it costs battery, needs a photo library per gallery, and it is the feature most sites do not actually need.

Claim limit for your listing. Positioning is zone-based, not continuous: expect roughly one to three metres with indoor beacons and open-sky accuracy outdoors, and expect both to fail politely inside thick stone, behind metal cases or underwater. We will not print an accuracy percentage, and neither should your box.

Ask any supplier these three questions: where is the visitor's question text stored and by whom, can the AI layer be switched off at site level, and what does the device do when the answer is not in your approved content? Our answers are in the datasheet: your region or ours, a per-site switch, and an explicit “I don't know” that routes to staff.

Hardware & performance
Display3.5" colour touchscreen, readable in daylight, glove-friendly touch option for cold-climate sites
Processor & memoryQuad-core, 1 GB RAM / 8 GB storage; 16 GB option where a site stores several languages plus image sets on-device
PositioningBLE beacon receiver as standard; satellite (GPS/GNSS) on outdoor builds; RFID or loop trigger at fixed exhibits — trigger map agreed per route before build
AudioSpeaker with automatic level, Bluetooth 5.0 for open-ear receivers or visitor headphones, 3.5 mm wired option on request, hearing-loop compatible receiver pairings available
Microphone & cameraMicrophone for the scoped answer mode; 2 MP camera used only for exhibit recognition when that option is enabled — no background capture, indicator on the screen during use
WirelessWi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz for content push, Bluetooth 5.0, optional LTE with the band list confirmed per destination market; SIM and data plan are always the buyer's responsibility
Battery1,500 mAh — about 10 hours of guided use, charges in the G3 cabinet bay, a multi-unit cradle or a USB-C dock; UN38.3 documentation for air and sea
HousingImpact-resistant shell with a lanyard hole and a wipeable surface; IP54 splash option for outdoor routes and boat tours
DurabilityDrop-tested for the handling pattern of a hire fleet — the units that fail in the field are almost always dropped on stone, not worn out
Content, data & ordering
Content modelYour script, your recordings, your panel text. Tracks and the trigger map are pushed per site with a version number, so a closed gallery stops narrating
LanguagesNo fixed ceiling — capacity is storage, not licensing. Typical fleets run six to twelve languages with a quick-switch key and an auto-offer of the visitor's selection at release
Answer scopeThe AI layer answers only from the approved site content you upload; out-of-scope questions get an explicit “I don't know” plus a pointer to staff or a printed reference. Switchable off at site level
Data & hostingVisitor questions and stop-level listening analytics run on anonymous device sessions; no visitor personal data is required. Hosting in your region on request, with a data-flow description and retention statement for your review
AnalyticsWhich stops get played, where visitors turn back, which language runs out first, and battery health per unit — the report that justifies a second cabinet
Fleet operationsSession record per release and return, out-of-circulation flag for a damaged unit, and a low-stock alert at peak
CertificationCE RED (EN 300 328, EN 301 489, EN 62368-1), FCC Part 15, RoHS 3, REACH SVHC screen, UKCA on request; cellular scope added per market for the LTE build
AccessoriesCharging cradle, transport and storage case, lanyards, screen protector, sanitising wipe station, and a printed quick card in your languages
MOQ & terms500 units standard, mixed SKUs allowed within the MOQ · EXW, FOB Shenzhen or DDP by air / sea · 12-month warranty with 2 % free replacement parts · Longhua District, Shenzhen

Full test reports and Declarations of Conformity are available on request; scans are not published here because the report must match the radio variant and hardware revision on your order. The LTE build is tested as cellular equipment, so its RED and FCC scope is wider than the Wi-Fi build and is booked per market band list. Beacon batteries are a consumable and are quoted with a replacement interval, not hidden in a service plan.

Questions buyers ask about this model

How accurate is the automatic triggering?
Indoors, beacons give a zone of roughly one to three metres — right for starting a track at a case, wrong for pointing at one object in a crowded room. Outdoors, satellite works well on open ground and degrades between thick walls, so a fortress route often runs on beacons with satellite only on the approach. We survey the route with you and write the trigger map before quoting, because the answer depends on your building.
Does the AI make things up?
It is constrained to the content your curators approve, and when a question falls outside it the device says so and routes the visitor to staff or a printed reference. There is a per-site switch to turn the answer layer off entirely, which several national museums have taken: they want the narration, not a machine interpreting their history.
Do we need Wi-Fi across the whole site?
No. Content is pushed over Wi-Fi or the LTE link at a defined point, and playback runs from device storage. Wi-Fi matters for live analytics and remote content push; a site without it still runs, and the records reconcile when a unit returns to the cabinet.
What does the visitor do with it at the end?
Back into the cabinet bay, which charges it, checks it and closes the session. If you also sell them a headphone, that leaves with them — most sites keep the device on the fleet and let the visitor keep nothing.
Can it work with our existing beacons or exhibits?
Often yes. We read your current trigger layout, tell you which parts will work and which will fight the building, and quote bay inserts and beacon placement separately so you can see what is hardware and what is site work.
