P1 AI Learning Pad — Firmware Parental Controls and a Curated App Store

The 11" pad where the limits live in the firmware: time budgets, an app approval list and a homework timer a child cannot uninstall, a physical shutter over the front camera, and a curated app store your brand can carry — honest about Google services, ready for the education-channel paperwork.

Why this model sells

A tablet whose limits the child cannot remove

Every parent in the category has tried the app-based solution: limits that live in an app the child closes, moves the clock on, or uninstalls. The single feature European parents ask about most is one sentence — can my child turn the rules off? On the P1 the answer is no, because the rules are not an app.

Time budgets, the app approval list, the homework timer and the weekly usage report are enforced by a locked-down Android 13 launcher and the firmware behind a PIN gate; a 6-year-old does not get past them, and the reset that would clear them is itself gated. The 8 MP rear camera shoots homework pages with document-crop assist; the 5 MP front camera sits behind a physical shutter with a recorded-activity indicator, so a classroom can see when it is open.

The rest is built for the reading age: an 11" IPS panel at 1920×1200 with DC dimming, a matte anti-glare option and a 4:3 reading layout; 7,000 mAh for an ~8-hour school day on gentle 18 W charging; a kickstand case in the box with passive stylus and magnetic keyboard as accessory SKUs you bundle per channel. EU-region data hosting for the parent app is available on white-label builds.

And because the software story is a curated, parent-approved app store, it is yours to brand: shell colour, boot animation, launcher and store front from the customisation tiers below, at a 500-unit entry MOQ.

Google services, in plain terms. A tablet that shows the Play Store needs a Google GMS licence, which we do not include. Ship the curated app store with your branding instead, and write the box for what it is — “curated kids’ app store, parent-approved downloads” — never “Google Play”. If your listing genuinely needs Play, say so before we quote; we will tell you plainly whether this platform can carry it.

What a European education buyer will ask you for: a data-flow description for the parent app, the age rating printed on the box, and a written answer on whether the camera can be disabled in firmware for exam use. All three are standard on this platform — ask every supplier for them and compare who actually sends them.

Full test reports and Declarations of Conformity are available on request. Certificate scans are not published on this site: the report must match the hardware revision on your order, and our EU customers receive them under NDA as part of the quotation pack.

Toy safety is a plan, not a badge. Where the box is age-graded for under-14s, the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC route is decided by your marketing and that age grading; we then book EN 71-1/-2/-3 and EN 62115 as a test scope with an accredited lab against it, and the same grading decides the warning text printed on the carton. We do not claim a toy certificate the product does not yet carry.

Pre-launch placeholders. The figures on this page are pre-launch placeholders pending the factory’s own datasheet for the P1, and certificate numbers and test reports are filled in per hardware revision — from your files, not ours. Do not publish a certificate you do not hold for the exact revision, and do not copy our sample text into a listing without checking it against your report.

Questions buyers ask about this model

Does the P1 come with Google Play?
No, and the box must not say it does. Play requires a Google GMS licence, which we do not include. The pad ships with a locked-down Android 13 launcher and a curated, parent-approved app store that carries your branding, and we write the box copy so it never claims Google services. If your channel genuinely needs Play, raise it before we quote.
Can a school or parent disable the cameras?
The front camera has a physical shutter and a recorded-activity indicator, and for exam builds the cameras can be disabled at firmware level so an IT coordinator is not trusting a settings screen. The 8 MP rear camera stays available for homework and document capture with crop assist until that profile is applied.
How do parental limits survive a factory reset?
Because they are not an app: the budgets and approval list are enforced by the locked launcher and firmware behind a PIN gate, an unsupervised reset is not possible, and after any managed reset the device re-applies the parent account’s policy at first setup. We supply that flow in writing for school buying committees.
Which languages and accessories ship by default?
English and German are ready; French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch content is assembled on request. The kickstand case ships in the box; the passive stylus and magnetic keyboard are separate accessory SKUs, so you bundle them per channel instead of paying for them on every unit.
