E1 AI Learning Robot — Phonics, Voice Practice and Hardware Privacy

The classroom-and-kitchen-table robot: an expressive 2.4" face, a microphone kill switch and camera shutter a parent can see and touch, offline English and German voice, ad-free learning content — plus the toy-safety test plan a European compliance review actually asks for.

Why this model sells

Toy shelves need a robot a parent can trust in one gesture

The objection that kills this category at buying meetings is not price — it is a microphone in a child’s room. Listings that answer it only in an app’s privacy policy get passed over; listings that show the answer on the product get shelved.

So the E1 is demoed with two gestures: the hardware kill switch slides the microphone out of the circuit, and the physical shutter drops over the optional camera. A shop assistant can point at both, and a child can operate both. What a buyer can see on the shell is what gets this category onto toy-retail shelves.

Because every E1 runs the same board — quad-core Cortex-A55, the same face display, the same dock — one tooling base carries your shell colour, your face pack and your boot animation. Two SKUs, one production slot, and the content modules (phonics, sight words, numbers, poems, bedtime Q&A) stay ad-free and purchase-free by design.

School and gift channels want different builds, and we treat them that way: the camera-free, Bluetooth-only T1 companion robot is there for buyers who refuse a microphone outright, and it shares the face and dock.

Decide age grading and channel before quoting. If the box is graded for under-14s, the toy route adds EN 71 and EN 62115 test time and cost to the sampling phase — test scope we book with an accredited lab for your target age grading. A 14+ grading skips the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC route. Tell us the age on the box and we plan against it instead of guessing afterwards.

What most suppliers will not send you: the actual EN 71 chemical test on the painted shell — not just a declaration. Ask every supplier for the lab report that covers the coating, the play-time and charge-time logs, and the mic-audio default setting, and compare the replies, not the price sheets.

Full test reports and Declarations of Conformity are available on request. Certificate scans are not published on this site: the report must match the hardware revision on your order, and our EU customers receive them under NDA as part of the quotation pack.

Toy safety is a plan, not a badge. Where the box is age-graded for under-14s, the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC route is decided by your marketing and that age grading; we then book EN 71-1/-2/-3 and EN 62115 as a test scope with an accredited lab against it, and the same grading decides the warning text printed on the carton. We do not claim a toy certificate the product does not yet carry.

Pre-launch placeholders. The figures on this page are pre-launch placeholders pending the factory’s own datasheet for the E1, and certificate numbers and test reports are filled in per hardware revision — from your files, not ours. Do not publish a certificate you do not hold for the exact revision, and do not copy our sample text into a listing without checking it against your report.

Questions buyers ask about this model

Is the E1 a toy under the EU Toy Safety Directive?
Not automatically. A voice robot marketed to under-14s is normally assessed as a toy under Directive 2009/48/EC, which adds EN 71-1/-2/-3 and EN 62115 testing on top of the radio and electronics standards; a 14+ grading skips the directive. The route is decided by marketing and age grading — tell us the age on the box, we book the test scope with an accredited lab for it, and the matching warning text goes on the carton artwork.
Can cloud voice processing be turned off permanently?
Yes. Core English and German commands are recognised on-device, the optional cloud NLU is switchable off permanently in the parent app, and the hardware kill switch physically disconnects the microphone. The default build uploads nothing.
Can you preload our curriculum content onto the E1?
Yes. Phonics, sight words, numbers, poems and bedtime Q&A modules ship in the standard firmware; your own material is flashed at the 2,000-unit firmware tier. French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch packs are assembled on request — only the firmware image changes, not the hardware.
What is the failure rate and spare-parts policy?
Twelve-month warranty, 2 % free replacement parts shipped with the order, and a root-cause report with photos from the QC lab for any confirmed defect batch. Spare shells, docks and face modules are available at unit price for retail repair stock.
